Child Health Research Symposium 2024
The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is set to host the 2024 Child Health Research Symposium from 4 to 8 November 2024. This annual event, held in collaboration with The Kids Research Institute, will bring together leading experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advancements in paediatric health.
The symposium will feature a series of keynote presentations, workshops, and panel discussions aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration in child health research. Keynote speakers include A/Professor Campbell Paul, an esteemed Infant and Child Psychiatrist from the Royal Children’s Hospital and the University of Melbourne, Dr. Joseph A. Carpini, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia, and Professor Steve Webb, a renowned Intensive Care Specialist and Professor of Critical Care Research at Monash University.
Highlights of the event include:
- Opening poster session: Showcasing ground breaking research from early career researchers.
- Workshops: Covering topics such as project management, grant writing, and co-producing research design with lived experience.
- Plenary sessions: Addressing critical issues in Aboriginal health, early intervention, and clinical trials.
