Students in Health and Medical Research Conference (SHMRC) 2026
The Students in Health and Medical Research Conference (SHMRC) is an annual student-led conference showcasing health and medical research undertaken by students across Western Australia.
Hosted by the Western Australian Medical Students' Society (WAMSS), the conference provides an opportunity for students to present their research, share ideas and engage with peers, clinicians, researchers and academics. The program features oral presentations, short presentations and poster presentations from students working across a range of health and medical research disciplines. Award presentations recognise outstanding student contributions and help encourage the next generation of researchers.
The conference is suitable for students, early-career researchers, clinicians, academics and anyone interested in emerging health and medical research. Attendees will gain insights into current research being undertaken in Western Australia while building connections with others across the research community.
