A prestigious opportunity awaits scientists passionate about advancing mRNA science and therapeutics research through the 2025 Moderna Australia Fellowship Program.
This unique program, designed to support researchers across Australia, is particularly seeking applications in:

  • mRNA manufacturing
  • AI or quantum computing for mRNA design
  • social science and health equity
  • sustainability in production and supply
  • global health, especially in emerging or neglected infectious diseases
  • autoimmune cohorts and target identification.

Each fellowship provides up to $250,000 per year for 2 years, alongside a tailored development program that includes hands-on, experiential learning, online courses through Moderna University, and face-to-face sessions at the Moderna Centre for Respiratory Medicine and Tropical Diseases in Melbourne.

The curriculum helps to build both scientific and professional capabilities – from regulatory and translational research and development to communication and leadership.

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  • between one to 10 years post-doctoral graduation (PhD, MD, PharmD), not including career breaks
  • based in Australia (priority is given to Australian citizens or residents)
  • able to commence the fellowship in 2026.

A webinar will be held on Tuesday 3 June at 1:00 pm AEST. To register, email claire.borg@modernatx.com.

Applications close 15 July 2025.
