Researchers – this is your moment to shine. Applications are now open for the 2025 Premier’s Science Awards, recognising excellence across Western Australia’s STEM community. With 10 award categories and $140,000 in total prize money or equivalent, the program celebrates achievements in scientific research, education, and engagement.

This year introduces 2 new categories:

  • Government Science Project of the Year – for outstanding research in the WA government sector
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scientist of the Year – for individuals demonstrating excellence in science or technology

Nominations are also open for the WA Science Hall of Fame, honouring lifelong contributions to science in WA.

Applications close 10 am AWST, Monday 28 July 2025
