Introducing the Office of Medical Research and Innovation Speaker Series

The Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) is launching a new Speaker Series in 2026 to create a regular forum for thought leadership, discussion and connection across Western Australia’s health and medical research and innovation sector.

The series will bring together leading voices from government, research, industry and the broader innovation ecosystem to explore the ideas, policies and opportunities shaping the future of health and medical research in WA and beyond.

Through a mix of keynote talks, in conversation sessions and moderated discussion, the OMRI Speaker Series is designed to:

• provide insight into emerging priorities and directions in health and medical research
• support knowledge sharing and capability building across the sector
• facilitate collaboration between government, researchers, clinicians, industry and partners
• create accessible opportunities for engagement, both in person and online.

Events in the series will be open to the sector and delivered in hybrid formats wherever possible, supporting participation from across metropolitan and regional Western Australia.
