The Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) is proud to be supporting AusMedtech 2026, Australia’s leading medical technology conference, when it comes to Perth from 19–21 May 2026.

As part of the Western Australian presence, the OMRI team will be actively sharing the work underway to strengthen the State’s health and medical research and innovation ecosystem — including how WA is building capability in clinical trials, supporting industry collaboration, and accelerating translation into patient care.

Conference delegates are encouraged to come and meet the OMRI team at AusMedtech 2026, including:

  • Visiting the WA booth, where OMRI will showcase key initiatives supporting clinical trials, innovation and the broader ecosystem.
  • Hearing from OMRI representatives through conference panels and discussions, highlighting WA’s coordinated, system‑wide approach to research and innovation.
  • Taking part in site tours that spotlight WA’s health, research and innovation infrastructure.

Hosting AusMedtech in Perth provides a significant opportunity to highlight Western Australia’s growing medtech and biomedical sector, supported by sustained investment through the Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Fund and strong partnerships across government, health services, research and industry
